Welcome to the SEAC web site.  We are one of the oldest business house athletic clubs in the country still going strong after a century or so. In our time we have focused on race walking, road running cross county and track & field, both organising and competing.

Today we are a friendly mixture of social and competitive runners mostly focused on shorter distance road race plus small amounts of cross country and T&F.  Our members are drawn from across the many firms engaged in the London securities industry.  We typically use the events we participate in as opportunities to catch up with friends working in other firms. Like many clubs our members range from the social joggers to the ultra competitive and we can be relied upon to give several diverse views on any running topic.

If you work in the City or Docklands and fancy a not too serious 5k race followed by a social drink or two (ED: or ten if Messrs Stevens, Weir or McLaughlan are involved!) then check out our calendar for the Summer Assembly League.

We think running should be fun.  It's fun to compete even if you never expect to turn pro. It's the best way of telling if all that training is paying off. And you don't have to do it on your own.

Finally if you were wondering, we don't currently have an individual membership fee and running for a business house creates no conflict with membership of an ordinary UK running club.

Hope to see you some time.
